What are the 17 Global Goals?

In a world facing numerous challenges, the United Nations has outlined a set of ambitious objectives known as the Seventeen Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals aim to address urgent global issues and create a more sustainable and inclusive future for all. In this blog post, we will delve into each of the goals and explore how Edu.Psyched is committed to upholding them.

No Poverty: Edu.Psyched recognizes that poverty hinders access to education and opportunities. Through our initiatives, we strive to empower individuals and families by providing resources, guidance, and support to break the cycle of poverty and promote economic empowerment.

Zero Hunger: Goal 2 focuses on ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture. It emphasizes the need for everyone to have access to nutritious and sufficient food, while also promoting sustainable farming practices.

Good Health and Well-being: Inclusion and equality play a crucial role in improving health and well-being for individuals and communities. When everyone is included and treated equally, it fosters a sense of belonging, acceptance, and respect, which positively impacts mental, emotional, and physical health.

Quality Education: Edu.Psyched is deeply committed to the goal of quality education for all. We strive to improve the inclusivity and equality of educational opportunities, through training, innovation and approaches to education that foster lifelong learning and skills development.

Gender Equality: Goal 5 focuses on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. It aims to eliminate discrimination, promote equal rights, and ensure equal opportunities in all aspects of life, including education, employment, and leadership.

Clean Water and Sanitation: This goal highlights the need for access to clean water and adequate sanitation facilities for all. It aims to improve water quality, increase water efficiency, and provide basic sanitation services to reduce water-related diseases.

Affordable and Clean Energy: Goal 7 focuses on ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. It promotes renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and the use of clean technologies to combat climate change and foster sustainable development.

Decent Work and Economic Growth: Creating inclusive and sustainable economic growth is a key focus for Edu.Psyched. We promote initiatives that foster entrepreneurship, skills development, and access to decent work opportunities, contributing to the overall well-being and prosperity of individuals and communities.

Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Goal 9 focuses on building resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation. It aims to enhance connectivity, develop sustainable industries, and promote technological advancements for sustainable development.

Reduced Inequalities: Edu.Psyched is committed to reducing inequalities in all forms. We advocate for inclusive policies, promote social inclusion, and work towards breaking down barriers that hinder equal access to opportunities and resources, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Sustainable Cities and Communities: Creating sustainable and inclusive cities and communities takes a sustained and global effort. Edu.Psyched promotes initiatives that enhance urban planning, improve access to essential services, and foster community engagement to create resilient and sustainable cities for all. Edu.Psyched was recently invited to consult on building a more inclusive city for the Mayor of London.

Responsible Consumption and Production: This goal highlights the importance of sustainable consumption and production patterns. It encourages resource efficiency, the reduction of waste generation, and the promotion of sustainable practices across industries and sectors.

Climate Action: Goal 13 addresses the urgent need to combat climate change and its impacts. It calls for increased awareness, mitigation efforts, and adaptation strategies to minimize greenhouse gas emissions and build climate resilience.

Life Below Water: This goal focuses on conserving and sustainably using marine resources to protect marine ecosystems and biodiversity. It aims to prevent marine pollution, regulate fishing practices, and restore marine habitats.

Life on Land: Goal 15 aims to protect, restore, and sustainably manage terrestrial ecosystems. It focuses on combating deforestation, preserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable land use practices to ensure the well-being of both humans and nature.

Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: This goal emphasizes the need for peaceful and inclusive societies, access to justice, and effective institutions. It aims to promote the rule of law, reduce violence, combat corruption, and ensure equal access to justice for all.

Partnerships for the Goals: Edu.Psyched believes that achieving the Global Goals requires collaboration and partnership. We actively seek collaborations with organizations, communities, and individuals to drive collective action, share knowledge, and amplify our impact in upholding these goals.
